Slim-framed aluminium internal doors — the modern Crittall-style look, made to measure. Used as kitchen-to-living room dividers, hallway partitions, study screens or any internal opening where you want to keep the light flowing while still defining a room. Single doors, double doors, and side-light or top-light combinations.
Cortizo is one of Europe's largest aluminium systems houses, based in Spain. The Design 35 internal door is engineered for slim sightlines (35mm visible frame depth — half the depth of a budget aluminium internal door) and runs on hidden hardware so the door looks crisp from both sides. Powder-coated finish stays consistent across single doors, doubles and side lights so a multi-panel run all matches.

Slim-framed metal doors used inside the home as room dividers — typically between kitchen and living room, hallway and snug, or as a study partition. Often called Crittall-style or steel-look doors after the original 1900s steel-framed design. Modern aluminium versions like Cortizo Design 35 give the same crisp look at a fraction of the weight and cost, and without the maintenance issues of real steel.
Single doors typically £900–£1,400 supplied. Double doors typically £1,600–£2,400 supplied. Adding side lights or top lights increases the price by £400–£800 per panel. Final price depends on overall size, configuration and glass spec — submit the form above for an exact written quote.
Made to measure. Single door typical range: 700–1000mm wide × 2000–2400mm tall. Double door: 1400–2000mm wide × 2000–2400mm tall. With side lights, total openings up to roughly 3500mm wide. We make taller and wider on request — flag the dimensions in your quote.
Standard is 6mm clear toughened safety glass — required for any glazed door. Optional upgrades: obscure (privacy), bronze tinted, fluted/reeded glass, or wired/Crittall-style square grids fixed inside the cavity for the period look.
Both options. Hinged is most common — single doors hinge left or right, doubles open as a pair. Sliding (rolling on a top track) is available where you don't have swing clearance. Pocket-door sliding (into the wall cavity) needs the wall built to receive it — possible but adds 4–6 weeks for the pocket frame.
No — supply only. Aluminium internal doors are easier to install than external bifolds (no lintel, no weatherproofing) but you'll still want a competent joiner or installer. We can recommend a London / Home Counties fitter on request.
